About Viatrac

Built by a family that farms

Viatrac started with a problem most people walked past. Fourth-generation Texas manufacturer Dennis Kaspar looked at broiler litter, the kind of agricultural waste that usually gets hauled off, and saw something worth saving. He believed it could rebuild soil instead of burden it.

So he did the harder thing. While others relied on outdoor composting and high-heat sterilization, Dennis built the indoor facilities that became our process today. The result was rare in this industry: a living, stable fertilizer that restores soil biology from the ground up.

Farmers noticed before any marketing did. Demand grew by word of mouth to over 40,000 tons a year, with the crew running double shifts to keep up. The whole thing stayed bootstrapped and family-run, where everyone from the compost monitor to the truck driver mattered.

We’re still that family, and still growing. As we expand, we hold to the same standard the farmers who built this business have trusted from the start.

A Trusted Formula for Farmers

Our 3-3-3+ profile isn’t built to spike growth and fade. The numbers are gentle on purpose. The “plus” is where the real work happens: trace minerals, enzymes, and over 2,700 strains of living microbes that keep rebuilding soil after the season ends. Farmers tell us they see better yields, better water retention, and healthier soil structure, often while cutting back on synthetic inputs.

OMRI CERTIFIED
It’s OMRI-certified and biologically active, which means it’s safe around animals, land, and water. We’ve delivered it by the truckload and super sack for nearly a decade. The product earns its place by acre, not by ad.

Our retail brand, Golden Roost

The same living compost we make for farms also goes home in a bag. That’s Golden Roost, our retail brand for gardeners, landscapers, and smaller-scale growers. Same product, same process, sized for the backyard instead of the back forty.
